Villa Location

Villa Bašak is in Makarska, a lovely town south of Split in beautiful Dalmatia. The Villa itself is placed a bit up the mountain to enjoy both unique sites of Makarska: Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic Sea. Due to the locations Makarska experiences sometimes strong winds, but in general a hot-summer Mediterranean climate where Winters are warm and wet, while summers are known for being hot and dry. It is even described as one of the warmest towns in Croatia.

In the neighborhood are only other Villas and holiday houses, which makes it a relaxing area. The distance from the Villa to Makarska Beach is roughly 2.5 km and to the riviera with restaurants and bars as well as the ferry it is 3.5 km. The closes supermarket is 900m away.

How To Get Here

The location of the Villa is marked in goole maps to get easy directions. It is a bit up the mountain. When driving into Makarska on the first traffic light turn lift and drive up to the direction “Veliko Brdo”. Passing the supermarket and turning right into “Put Pozara” and the next one left into the final street “Stari Velikobrdski Put” and drive up to number 157.

Flights

The closest airport is Split, roughly 90km away. There are transportations available from the airport to Makarska or you can rent a car. We would in general recomment to rent a car but there are also options to rent scooters in Makarska for your way around.

By Car

This is the easiest way to reach us. The Villa is equiped with a double garage to keep your car secure.

Ferries Cruise

Makarska has a Ferry Port to get there and from surrounding island. The Villa is roughly 3.5km away from the Ferry Port.
